Pineapple Fountain at Night

Posted by
Jen (Alpharetta, United States) on 7 March 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

This is the best shot that I could get of the full fountain at night. I know it could be better, but I was having the darndest time with lighting and settings that night and my batteries were dying on me too.

7 Mar 2007 2:51pm

@Craiger: Thank you very much!

MontereyJohn from California, United States

Hmmmm, been there, done that :) Actually it works in an abstract way.

@MontereyJohn: Thank you John!

Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Nice work pal, at first look i thought it was a enlarged picture of a throne ;)

7 Mar 2007 5:27pm

@Rahul: hahaha! Thanks for the visit!

Bronnie from Christchurch, New Zealand

Beautiful, I too have trouble with night shots, still unhappy with the ones I've taken!! I was just reflecting on it and thinking it looked like some sort of jelly dessert when I saw the title - lol pineappe jelly huh?!!

7 Mar 2007 5:59pm

@Bronnie: It seemed so simple at the time! lol
It is hard to tell what it is...I posted a daylight picture of it back on 2-4-07, much better : )

Yvon from Meerkerk, Netherlands

Michael Zhang from New York City, United States

1/2s handheld is tough! The handshake effect makes this a very "abstract" photo.

7 Mar 2007 11:33pm

@Michael Zhang: I should have taken my tripod...but hindsight is 20/20 right? Thanks for the visit!

Ben from New York City, United States

It really does look like pineapples (and the shaking really works)! Great job!

Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United States

8 Mar 2007 2:27pm

@Ken McCoy: Thanks Ken! Night shots are so hard! I appreciate the comments!

Wayne from Melbourne, Australia

Great job Jen! I was thinking...could you do a PP and invert the colours i.e. do a negative image?

8 Mar 2007 4:01pm

@Wayne: Hi Wayne! Glad you are back, even if it's only once a week.
I'll have to give that a try over the weekend and see how it turns out. I'll let you know!

Shelia from Statesville, United States
