Myatta River and Crane

Not a very good image of the crane but I thought the composition with the landscape was good.

The compo is good. But it's also the dof used that I like. Did you get a better shot of Mr Shy Crane?

@amy: Not really.
Once morning we went for a canoe ride, my husband fished while I paddled (he did too), but I left my camera at home, and of course had a GREAT GREAT shot of a crane...and no camera...oh well such is life eh?!

What I like about this are the "layers" of the composition so that it is almost 2-dimensional with a series of strips up and down the surface.

Ah, but it is all the better a shot for showing the bird in a true habitat and not sadly pecking at a wire cage. I think it is lovely.
