Full Eclipse 2008...darn clouds

This is the very best I could do with the full eclipse...the clouds would open up and for a brief second I'd have a shot, but I never got a GOOD shot...but I decided I'd rather post than not. : )

@Craiger: I am pretty sure that was just plain old "camera shake"
Earlier I had the tripod out and then when the clouds rolled in I took everything inside. I happened to peak out the window when it was in full eclipse and saw some clearing so I ran and got the camera and no tripod.

hmmmm, I think I maybe drunk or the moon is moving on me ... you should not diminish your work by saying " I never got a GOOD shot " or " I'd rather post than not " as long as you enjoy what you do , than you have already achieved SUPER RESULTS !!

Having fought and lost to the clouds much earlier in the eclipse process, I can totally relate to your experience here. This is still a very good "impression" of the eclipse shadow as it moves across the moon.

@danthro: Yes it was...since I couldn't get any clearly focused shots I just sat outside and watched it move back and forth between clouds...beautiful sight!

It's funny how the accidents can be so great! It has a great look to it and a hell of a lot better than what I got!!! I REALLY love how this looks! Great camera shake there girl for a really cool effect!!

Cool! I tried to take pics of the eclipse and in a word-they sucked. It's on occasions like this that I wished I'd held onto my old canon S315. It had an awesome digital zoom. Oh well. we'll get another chance in 2010. Great shot, Jen, the blurring actually kind of works here.
