sorry i didn't get back to you sooner on your question about LightRoom...was busy with an essay and now preparing for an exam in a few days time
taking a break...

LightRoom is not bad for quick basic tweaking of the shots. I like it for the quick job it does in basic areas like saturation, hues, curves, exposure, adding vignetting, etc

but it's sharpening and noise control is almost close to ineffective (I'm still in version 1.0 - have not upgraded to 1.3 because I read that 1.2 had problems for some people), Elements or CS does a better job and also gives you a lot more touch up/special filters options - hope it helps

are you planning to get LR or are you also using it?

@kairospix: Thanks for stopping by and answering my question and commenting!
I do not have LR and I was considering getting it, but with your comments and some things I've read, perhaps I'll wait and see if the newer versions improve it.
