Chattahoochee River

The festival did not work out...darn!!!

Just about the time we decided to go the sky opened up and it stormed and stormed and stormed, bad for the festival, but good because we desperatly needed rain!

This is a shot from a few weeks ago when I went to visit Jones Bridge.

To bad for the festival but then again like you said a ti of rain after a long time is more then welcome.

Looks like lots of water. The log suggests that the water is higher than normal. Nice image.

@Nick: Actually the water was not very high at all...perhaps it was the angle.

Yeah, too bad about the festival, but this is a nice substitute. Rain can also be good when there hasn't been much. I like this shot of the old Chatt. barrelling along.

Rain? I'd like some sun. We got over 1 1/2 inches over night and it's still raining. And my husband worked night shift last night and he said it had snowed out at the gas plant(just 35 miles west of us) last night. Yep, snow. In August. Gotta love Alberta...

I really like the vivid swirling and gushing motion you've captured here, Jen, and the wonderful copper and emerald tones.....just beautiful! imho it more than makes up for the festival!
