Detail of the bridge...now that's rusty!!! Amazing it is actually still standing at all!

Love the way you've captured the light on the rust, it gives it a lovely colour against the wonderfully fresh green in the background :)

Had a look at the photo previous and its lovely with its reflections. The blend of colors (even if some of it is rust) is really nice :-) Thanks for giving the history too - it makes photos like these two so much more interesting.

Good capture Jen. This gets us a lot closer to what made this bridge tick when it was a whole bridge; structural steel is pretty strong stuff, even with a rust coat on it.

and yes that bridge will stand longer than a lot of other things!!!! Don't make them like they used to ; )

@Laurie: Thanks Laurie...but no it's not in service, half of the bridge was removed in the middle of the night many years ago...they have no idea who did it.

Love the beautiful earthy colours of that rust (never thought the day would come when I would 'love' rust! :) lol) , complementing the verdant green surroundings. Although the angles are still striking, suddenly this 'manmade' structure doesn't look that 'manmade'/'out of place' in those surroundings at all. Fantastic composition, Jen!

Beautiful capture lines, lighting perspective, and color, of course.
Made me think of how even in it's progression toward rust nature keeps the balance , by keeping colors, in balance. Does that make any sense.
