Three Sisters

I am the youngest of three sisters and for some reason seeing this reminded me of us.
We all came from the same gene pool, all look very much alike...but oh my are we different, oh so fantastic and beautiful in our own way!!! : D

Love to my sisters and our parents who gave life to three wonderful women!!!

These three blossoms are really beautiful - you always seem to be there at the right time to catch these backlighted plants and flowers. Great job! Also, it is a lovely tribute to your parents and your sisters - I hope they read it! : )

@Anne: I have to admit it's a bit easy with these, my house and neighborhood are surrounded by the trees so it's I spent yesterday morning taking pictures and didn't have to go very far : )
Thank you Anne...I don't get to see them as often as I'd like, so this is my way of letting them know I think of them alot!

What a wonderful sentiment. I never had any sisters and I wonder what it would have been like. I have 3 brothers and I love them but it's not the same as sisterhood I'm sure.

I love the back lighting on this one.

We have our moments, but we truly are great friends! Just wish we could spend more time together!

Nice capture. I like the effect the back lighting has on the flowers - gives them a slightly translucent feel.

What a wonderful analogy. To do my sisters and I justice I thing perhaps fruits would be more suitable because we are like apples and oranges... and grapes, and bananas and pineapples!

I never would have had the imagination to use the light like that. It's a very stunning effect, and one which couldn't have been easy to pull off.

Your remark about the three sisters each being different reminds me of my mother and my aunt. They were my grandmother's only two children, and they were as different as daylight and dark in many ways. Long after the two daughters were grown, my grandmother learned that she had not one uterus, but two! She asked the doctor if that meant the two girls could have possibly been born of different wombs. When he told her it was possible, she replied, "Well, that explains a lot...."
