I was looking through today's posted photos, and just by seeing this picture in the thumbnails, i knew it was yours :)

I like the closeups of this branch.

have you tried changing your point of view a bit so that there will be some slight clearance between the branch you are focusing on and the one in the background? (moving the background branch slightly to the right)

I wonder how many layers there are to this tree!? I bet you could keep on peeling back layer after layer and never reach the core. It's kind of like an onion here! I loved yesterday's post but think I prefer this one - those shadows add depth to the image and I can see details thet weren't visible before. Super shot, Jen.
And I'm sorry but I don't know the name of the tree in my post today but for some reason I think it might be a weeping willow. Not sure though.

@Stu: The amazing part is that this tree is like that all over! I could fill up my memory card will all the details created from the peeling bark and every one would be different than the other.
I thought it might be a weeping willow, but I wasn't sure.

Hmmmm, you know I think I like the lighting better in this one than yesterday's. And yet the blue of the sky from yesteday's was so vibrant. But the shadow play in today's is just fantastic... Oh hell, they're both wonderful!
