Columns

I don't know why but I was drawn to the brick underneath these beautiful ornate columns.

Good work there Jen. The crumbling of the pillars is very scary.

@Darren: Apparently in Charleston they has strict guidelines for renovating homes, but nothing about upkeeping them.

They cheated, that's certainly not the way the Romans would have built those columns !

@Fred: Thanks Fred! Yeah way back when in Charleston the bricks were so much cheaper that's how they build the columns. Interesting huh?

I like how you showed the deterioration of these once beautiful columns. Does anyone known the name of this one? I remember each style has its own name - Ionian, or something like that.
